Droge ., if you will. I’m eager to get out on the road and play some shows. I’m also excited to continue the development of my podcast, Pete Droge is Obsessed. And I’ve got tons of ideas in mind for Cinema Droge, a video channel. For now though, I’m pouring all of my creative energies-limited as they may be-into songwriting. So reluctantly, I had to pass on producing their next album. They are forging on without me and recently launched a Kickstarter campaign. I encourage you to check them out. They’re the real deal. I’m 5. 0 Years Old: I know it’s silly (and vain) but every year I check to see if I still make the celebrity birthdays lists. Eventually I imagine whoever decides will say, Hold the presses!
Pete Droge (born March 11, 1969) is an American alternative/folk rock musician from Vashon Island in Washington State's Puget Sound. Droge was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up Bainbridge Island. In 1994, Droge released Necktie Second, his debut album which featured the tongue-in-cheek "If You Don't Love Me (I'll Kill Myself)" (which also appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dumb and Dumber), as well as "Sunspot Stopwatch" and "So I am Over You".

This is the definitive Pete Droge album to ow. .heavy, melodic, sublime, at times pensive but often so euphoric - a great collection of original songs which rise and swirl, filling the air with a wall of sound. Previous albums were Tom Petty-influenced and nowhere near the same quality excepting, of course, the wonderful Dear Diane. Some songs on this album require repeated listenings to allow them the chance to grow, but grow they will. While it may come up a bit short of his Find a Door album, Pete Droge certainly doesn't disappoint with this album. Straightforward, hard-drivin' melodies with precision rock musicianship make this an absolute joy to put on, sway and bounce to and thoroughly enjoy. More people need to take a chance on this man's music because it is truly remarkable.
Under the Waves is Pete Droge's fifth album and his second for his own Puzzle Tree Records label following three poor-selling major-label efforts. Droge is the sort of folkish singer/songwriter who tends to get called "promising" long after such a description applies; after all, one can only show promise for so long before that promise is fulfilled or must be considered to have been broken, and at 37, this artist would seem to have passed that point
