In My Arms" is a synthpop ballad by British duo Erasure. The song was released as the lead single from their eighth studio album Cowboy, with two different music videos. It was issued by Mute Records in the UK and by Maverick Records in the . In My Arms" was written by Vince Clarke and Andy Bell
Erasure is the seventh studio album by Erasure, released in 1995. It was produced by Thomas Fehlmann (of The Orb) and Gareth Jones. An overtly experimental and introspective album, Erasure contains eleven, mostly mid-tempo tracks that differed from their past output of shiny, three-minute pop songs. Most tracks clocked in at five minutes or more, several contained long synth interludes, and guest artists included the London Community Gospel Choir and performance artist Diamanda Galás.
In My Arms (оригинал Erasure). В моих руках (перевод Amethyst). The deal is on the rise again. Дела опять идут в гору, The ship comes into shore. Корабль причаливает к берегу. I've been away to somewhere. And you'll be here in my arms. Я сожму тебя в своих объятьях, I'll keep you away from harm. И уберегу от бед. I thought about you twice just then. Я думал о тебе всего дважды, You get me every time.

Erasure - In My Arms (Letra e música para ouvir) - The deal is on the rise again, The ship comes into shore, You've been away to somewhere, But life goes on no less, / Through the foreign ocean . The walls come tumbling down We'll be forever calm And you'll be here in my arms I'll keep you away from harm. I thought about you twice just then You get me every time Keeps coming out of nowhere It cannot be defined. Your colours are magnificent From magenta to bright blue. Through the foreign ocean Underneath the sea. The walls come tumbling down We'll be forever calm And you'll be here in my arms I'll keep you away from harm
The single peaked at number thirteen on the UK singles chart and stalled at number seventy-six in Germany - Erasure's lowest-charting single in that country up to that point. In the United States, "In My Arms" became Erasure's first Billboard Hot 100 entry since 1994's "Always", peaking at number fifty-five.
Later tracks like "Always," "Freedom," and "In My Arms" don't have the name recognition of "Chains of Love," but they do show a more mature Erasure in both delivery and composition. The problem is that no one ever wanted them to be Dylan or Radiohead, and the kind of albums they put out post-Pop! don't lend themselves well to greatest-hits collections. The later tracks at least answer the "whatever happened to" question for most people, but what's really confusing is why the four-song Abba-esque EP is overly represented by three.
