The new album from . producer Jason Chung, aka Nosaj Thing, is more open-ended than usual, bringing collaborators like Zuri Marley, Blonde Redhead’s Kazu Makino, and Steve Spacek into the fray. For the first time in his career, Chung has said he decided to become more sociable, and his fourth album, Parallels, captures that change. The Parallels sessions were a chance to make opposites attract: beauty and dissonance, love and regret, soul and machine.

My guess is this was a high speed duplication with the cheapest tape the plant offered, as the tape they chose cannot handle the bass. Disappointing considering another Timetable cassette I have sounds markedly better. Reply Notify me Helpful. 23 сентября 2017 г. Report. referencing Parallels, LP, Album, Cle, IL2048.
Parallels is the fourth full album released under Jason Chung’s distinctive moniker, Nosaj Thing. Masterfully dimensional, Parallels represents the acclaimed Los Angeles-based electronic rformer’s most diverse, vital work yet. As such, Chung sees Parallels represents a kind of redemptive rebirth. The album’s compellingly elusive, uncategorizable sonics developed out of what he terms a personal & musical identity crisis.

Nosaj Thing's next album will land on September 8th. Parallels is Los Angeles artist Jason Chung's fourth full-length, and one that label Innovative Leisure calls a "redemptive rebirth" that came from an identity crisis. The LP is named for Chung's love of collaboration-he's worked with Kendrick Lamar, Kid Cudi and Chance The Rapper in the past-and it features three guest vocalists: Steve Spacek, Blonde Redhead's Kazu Makino and Zuri Marley. Parallels is his first album since 2015's Fated

05 10. Nosaj Thing Parallels Innovative Leisure. Nosaj Thing, real name Jason Chung, rose to prominence on the same wave of lopsided rhythms that washed Flying Lotus into the public eye, but his musical palette has always been wider than the distinctive LA beat sound, embracing more ambient and ethereal aesthetics in his remixes and own material. Along the way, Chung has established a respectful reputation among his peers, demonstrated in the calibre of artists (Jon Hopkins, Jamie xx, Dorian Concept) queuing up to remix his 2009 debut, Drift. Makino also features on Parallels, Chung’s fourth album. Her sorrowful lament to a disenfranchised relationship on How We Do is, unlike her previous collaboration, pretty unremarkable, with Chung’s melody and production sounding worryingly generic. Chung has described this album as the result of a personal and musical ‘identity crisis’.
