They're Only Chasing Safety (2004). The Changing of Times is the third album by American metalcore band Underoath. The album was released on February 26, 2002, through Solid State Records. It is the last Underoath recording to feature vocalist Dallas Taylor and guitarist Octavio Fernandez, but is the first to include guitarist Timothy McTague. They're Only Chasing Safety is the fourth album by American post-hardcore band Underoath. The album was released on June 15, 2004, through Solid State Records. Prior to recording, it was ready to be recorded with Underoath founder and frontman Dallas Taylor, but instead was replaced with the band's current lead vocalist Spencer Chamberlain

They're Only Chasing Safety was much better though, great album. i never got around to listening to any of their older stuff. Anyway, I like Define the Great Line best out of all of their albums (don't shoot!) because I'm more into the hardcore screamo rock rather than real metal (though I appreciate metal just fine) and I didn't like Dallas that much. TOCS was all right, but Spencer even admitted that he went into that just trying to scream like Dallas, so when he changed his style a little that helped.

Fans of Underoath's last album (They're Only Chasing Safety) may be surprised to learn that Define the Great Line is actually Underoath's fifth studio effort. Since their formation in 1998, the band have gone from being a ferocious black metal influenced metalcore band who wrote 8 minute songs to a catchy, almost mainstream poppy post-hardcore outfit.

Ok, Underøath's previous album, They're Only Chasing Safety, was a decent album, but it only has 3 memorable songs in my opinion. This album on the other hand is a masterpiece! I could listen to this album for a lifetime and still probably never soak in all of its meaning and complexity! The vocals from both Spencer and Aaron are much improved and much more varied and emotional! James and Tim are playing guitar parts that really stand out! Chris' keys are good and Grant's bass is solid. This album is probably one of the best things I've heard from the year 2006  . I would definitely chose this album over the other. Define the great line is a fantastic album that I really enjoy listening to. It seems more "metaly" than TAOCS, which I definitely like better.
