Todd Crew, a friend of the band and Jetboy member, heard Guns N' Roses rehearsing Bob Dylan's song and advised to use it in their repertoire since it fitted their image. They played it once live and it did well. When Crew overdosed on heroin soon after that, the band added this song to their set list in memory of him. A live version of the song was released on the maxi-single of "Welcome to the Jungle" (1987).
