The discography of Fleetwood Mac consists of 17 studio albums, 8 live albums, 23 compilation albums, one extended play single, and 62 singles. The 1967–1969 era Blue Horizon albums (Fleetwood Mac, Mr. Wonderful, The Pious Bird of Good Omen and Fleetwood Mac in Chicago) and 1971 outtakes album The Original Fleetwood Mac have been remastered and reissued on CD, as have the 1975–1987 era Warner Bros. studio albums Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, and Tango in the Night.
Founded in London in July 1967 (by ex-Bluesbreakers members, Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood), Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac instantly became a major force in the UK blues scene, along with their eponymous first album. Following "Mr. Wonderful" & "Then Play On" the driving force of Peter Green had deteriorated as he lapsed into a personal crisis by 1970. The group reorganized, under the leadership of Fleetwood, and slowly took on a new direction - away from the blues and into the mainstream of international popularity, known simply as Fleetwood Mac.
Featuring hits and essentials from every studio album, ’50 Years – Don’t Stop’ is the first exploration of the full history of the band on one album.

Classic Album: Rumours. Fleetwood Mac. Year: 1998. Fans and critics alike generally regard it as an extremely important album in the history of rock music, citing the lasting influence it has had on subsequent punk rock musicians, as well as other musical genres that were influenced by such punk rock artists. In 2003, Rolling Stone rated it forty-first on their list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Part 2 Fleetwood Mac: Members Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks unite for an evening that revisits the passion that propelled them to the top of the charts in a night of rocking classics. The culmination of wrenching lyrics, harmonious delivery and purposeful melodies maintained by the rhythms of Fleetwood and McVie (the band’s namesakes), have endured several stylistic incarnations over the decades.
Fleetwood Mac existed for nearly a decade prior to the release of Fleetwood Mac in 1975 but not in a manner that modern audiences would recognize. All these names have wound up as footnotes to Fleetwood Mac history because Mick Fleetwood happened to fall for a demo from the unknown SoCal singer/songwriters Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks. If producer Keith Olsen, who helmed Buckingham Nicks’ self-titled 1973 album, never played Mick that tape, odds are good Fleetwood Mac would’ve wound up hiring some other hotshot blues guitarist.

The first Fleetwood Mac album unquestionably recognizable as a modern Mac album is 1974’s Heroes Are Hard to Find. This is largely thanks to Christine McVie, whose material combines British post-folk wistfulness with an easily graspable rhythmic and chordal structure that recalls All Things Must Pass-era George Harrison.
But even for listeners aware of the history of the band represented here, the "essential" will probably require some qualification - Sony/BMG's license on Fleetwood Mac's early library only encompasses the two years of recordings (1967-1969) that they made for Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label; those recordings, especially the debut album and the singles "Black Magic Woman"
