1) Forcefield was the brainchild of ex-Focus keysman Jan Akkerman. They produced four albums from 1986 to 1994, with various line-ups that included many noted musicians such as Cozy Powell (Drums), Neil Murray (Bass), Tony Martin (Vocals) Graham Bonnet (Vocals). Their musical style is best described as experimental prog/fusion with the odd rocker thrown in. Akkerman has also released 2 solo albums.
In 1990, FORCEFIELD began recording the last album "Let The Wild Run Free". The lineup, including vocalist Bonnet, remained unchanged, with the exception of the added guitarist Bernie Marsden (ex-PAICE ASHTON LORD, WHITESNAKE, ALASKA) and keyboardist Don Airey (Don Airey, ex-RAINBOW, OZZY OSBOURNE, GARY MOORE). In addition to the star composition, the fourth FORCEFIELD album is also interesting in two cover versions - "The Wind Cries Mary" by Jimi Hendrix (Jimi Hendrix) and "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love" BAD COMPANY.
