She Really Didn't Care (Remix). Cherry Red Indie Hits: 1985-. In 1983, the Direct Hits began work on their debut album, though Grover dropped out of the group for several months during the recording, and Griffiths ended up playing most of the drum tracks on the sessions. The first album, Blow Up, was released in June 1984, but Whaam! was having financial problems and the Direct Hits were soon looking for a new label.

Direct Hits is a greatest hits album by American rock band The Killers, released on November 11, 2013 by Island Records. The album includes tracks from the band's first four studio albums and features two new tracks - "Shot at the Night" and "Just Another Girl", produced by Anthony Gonzalez of M83 and Stuart Price respectively. Regarding the album's release, vocalist Brandon Flowers noted, "This record feels like a great way to clean everything up and move onto the next thing.

Direct Hits is the first UK compilation album released by The Who. It collects singles, B-sides, and album tracks originally recorded for Reaction Records and Track Records between 1966 and 1968. Original UK issues of this album were released in both stereo and mono versions. The album was not a strong seller and was deleted in the early 1970s. This was the fourth UK LP released by The Who.

The Killers’ only existing greatest hits album ‘Direct Hits’ is released for the first time on 12 inch 180g double vinyl! The album features all of the band’s classic tracks, plus two studio tracks released only on this format (‘Shot At The Night’, ‘Just Another Girl’), and one extra bonus track never before released on vinyl (‘Be Still’). However, I am very pleased that The Killers have gone the traditional route and compiled all their best songs into a single new release.

Direct Hits is a greatest hits compilation album by American group The Killers. It encapsulates a decade of releases, taking singles and hits from all four of the bands studio LPs. The album also contains two previously unreleased singles – Shot At The Night and Just Another Girl. Other non-album tracks include the original demo of Mr. Brightside and the Calvin Harris remix of the 2005 hit single When You Were Young. One strange inclusion in the tracklist is Be Still, an album track off the groups fourth LP Battle Born

Direct Hits was the first official compilation of the Who's music. And it would be notable on that basis alone, even though it was planned exclusively as a European release

The Killers' greatest hits collection, Direct Hits, includes singles from their four studio albums along with new songs (the M83-produced "Shot at the Night" and "Just Another Girl", produced by Stuart Price). Taken as a whole, it proves the band has fewer actual hits, let alone great ones, than you thought. Following in the lineage of Is She Really Going Out With Him? or Jessie’s Girl, the song itself is a karaoke classic for men grappling with the catastrophic realities of a woman choosing to have sex with someone who isn’t him. Only now, it’s given a properly dashing and desperate musical conduit and a performance by Flowers that makes the finest use of his limited range and dodgy breath control.

Top 10-bound Direct Hits celebrates a decade of the Vegas band’s career, just in time for Crimbo. Drummer Ronnie Vannucci told me: We’d wait another 10 years if it was up to us, but it’s a contractual thing. We can fill a CD so it makes good business sense at this time of year. Redhead Caroline Hjelt said: We love Robyn and think she was such a pioneer in pop music and really took it to another level. It would be an honour to work with her. Related articles.
