Combining funky horns and signature steel pans, this 2 track EP taken from the album ‘55’ is perfect for all your down-tempo needs. The A side is a cover of ‘Love Like This’ by Faith Evans and the notes sound like they were perfectly designed for the steel pans, an immediately recognizable riff which is sure to draw a smile at any party. The B side is a cover of Cat Steven’s ‘Dog Was a Doughnut’ and this one brings more of a casual vibe. Excellent, intriguing percussion makes for a great summer warm-up weapon. Perfect for: Nachtbraker played both sides of this EP in his 3 hour set at ZeeZout festival this year whilst warming up for Midland and it sounded fantastic alongside some select disco picks and more down-tempo tones.
