Nothing Else Matters" is a song by American heavy metal band Metallica. It was released in 1992 as the third single from their self-titled fifth studio album, Metallica. The song peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, number 6 on the UK Singles Chart as well as top-ten on many other European charts. Nothing Else Matters is 8th track off Metallica's famous "Metallica" album (referred often to as "the Black Album" due to the cover art). The album has sold over 25 million copies world wide. It was Metallica's first, more popular sounding album. The track was composed and written by James Hetfield to his girlfriend whom he missed during long touring sessions. The track became a massive hit instantly after the album was published. Producer for this song is Bob Rock, and Lars Ulrich is a co-writer.

NOTHING ELSE MATTERS (DEMO) Obviously Not Produced Recorded by James & Lars on August 13, 1990 in Lars' basement. Just like all of our prvious demos, this was recorded by Lars and James and, of all the demos we did, this is probably the closest the demo ended up being to the final album version in terms of arrangement and overall 'togetherness' (minus a 40-piece orchestra). Nothing Else Matters has become a song that any complete beginner who has never picked up a guitar can feel like they are playing Metallica for a few measures. Famed Hollywood composer Michael Kamen contributed an orchestrated part, which was mixed somewhat low in the song. To compensate, years later Metallica did the S&M concert and album with Kamen conducting the San Francisco Symphony, with Nothing Else Matters being a centerpiece. What has James Hetfield said about the song? Nothing Else Matters was a song for me. It was not to be heard by the general public.

Nothing Else Matters is a power ballad by heavy metal band Metallica. The song reached on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1992. This song also featured as a playable track on the game Guitar Hero: Metallica. Nothing Else Matters is a single from the album Metallica. Singer and rhythm guitarist James Hetfield wrote this song while on the phone with his then girlfriend

Song: Nothing Else Matters Album: Metallica ‘ 91 (Hetfield/Ulrich). So close no matter how far Couldn’t be much more from the heart Forever trusting who we are And nothing else matters. Never opened myself this way Life is ours, we live it our way All these words I don’t just say And nothing else matters. Trust I seek and I find in you Every day for us something new Open mind for a different view And nothing else matters. Never cared for what they do Never cared for what they know But I know
