Barbara Morgan was an American photographer best known for her depictions of modern dancers. Morgan was co-owner of the publishing company Morgan & Morgan, In. and was an instructor of art at UCLA from 1925 to 1930. Working strictly in black-and-white, the artist is best known for her photographs of dancers. She has also created photomontages and light drawings as well as portraits and candid photographs of children.
