I'll slip away - Rodriguez Lesson Capo 1 Gm7 Verse - Gm7 C Chorus - F Gm7 Am7 Cm9. Категория.

In 1967, using the name "Rod Riguez" (given by his record label), he released a single, "I'll Slip Away", on the small Impact label. He did not record again for three years, until he signed with Sussex Records, an offshoot of Buddah Records. He used his preferred professional name, "Rodriguez", after that. He recorded two albums with Sussex, Cold Fact in 1970 and Coming from Reality in 1971. However, both sold few copies in the US and he was quickly dropped by Sussex, which itself closed in 1975. At the time he was dropped, he was in the process of recording.

In 1969 he went back into the studio and the ‘Cold Fact’ album was completed and released in March 1970 on the Sussex label. With its outspoken lyrics, unforgettable tunes and trippy vibe, it was ahead of its time in many ways with the ‘Sugar Man’ psychedelic trip-out section pre-dating Zeppelin’s similar excursion in ‘Whole Lotta Love’ a year or so later.

Original track comes from the single "I'll Slip Away, You'd Like To Admit It" (Impact 1031), August 1967, released as Rod Riguez. Lyrics in description below. And I'll forget about the girl that said no. Then I'll tell who I want where to go. And I'll forget about your lies and deceit. And your attempts to be so discreet. And you can keep your symbols of success. Then I'll pursue my own happiness.
